2024年に⾼松・栗林公園で開催された「栗林⼤茶会」のための野点席。

⼀本の松を伐って⽴て、それを回転させて伏せることで、野点にふさわしい⽊陰の場を⽣み出した。

⽊を「伐る」「伏せる」という原初的な⾏為を空間の⽣成装置として⽤いることで、⼈為と⾃然の関係を⾝体感覚に引き寄せて提⽰する試みである。

茶事のないときには、⽊はまっすぐに⽴っており、⾵景に溶け込む。



A Nodate (open-air tea ceremoty) installation created for the “Ritsurin Grand Tea Gathering” held in 2024 at Ritsurin Garden in Takamatsu.

A single pine is felled, erected, and rotated to a horizontal position, creating a shaded place for tea.

The primordial acts of cutting and laying down a tree are used as a device for generating space, bringing the relationship between artifice and nature into direct bodily perception.

When no tea gathering takes place, the tree stands upright, quietly merging into the landscape.

TOTOギャラリー・間での再展⽰での様子。
栗林公園では風景に溶け込んでいた一方、本展示では現代的な都市の中に置かれたことで、茶室が本来志向していた始原性と「市中の山居」の思想が露わになった。

In its original installation at Ritsurin Garden, the installation merged with the surrounding landscape.
Reinstalled within a contemporary urban setting, the tea room’s primordial character and the idea of “a mountain retreat within the city” emerge clearly.
