テナントスペースのスケルトンの設計。

大宮・大門町、宿場町の路地割りが残る場所での計画。

クライアントの要望は、柱の無いスペースとすること、そしてプレハブ同等の予算で建設することだった。

平屋としては異常に分厚いコンクリートの壁を並べ、すべての地震力を負担させている。
その上に工場生産による木材トラスを掛け渡したのみである。

ツーバイ材によるトラスは、パターン設計・自動製作が可能であり、スピーデイーかつリーズナブルに大空間を作るには最適である。

入居するテナントの手がかりとなるよう、シンプルで力強く、かつ邪魔にならないデザインを心がけた。

現在は居酒屋「いかの墨　大宮店」が入居している。


The structural frame of the tenant space.

The site is located around the areas where traces of old traditional alleyways exist.

The requirement for this project was to design a column-free space with a budget equivalent to building a prefabricated structure.

The thick concrete walls of the tenant space allow the building to withstand the forces of earthquakes. The timber trusses that span across these walls support the roof.

The trusses are made of commonly used two by four lumber, which enables for speedy development and manufacturing. It is the best solution that satisfies both the budget and the design requirement of creating a column-free space.

The aesthetic of the building reflects a simple yet strong design, keeping in mind the new tenant that occupies the new building.

The current tenant of this building is a Japanese style bar, “IKA no SUMI”.
